MAD - Marvila Art District
MAD – Marvila Art District – was created by young artists aiming to break the stereotypes of museums and traditional “white-cube” galleries, with a multi-faceted creative center. The project has a long-term vocation to be a cultural platform offering an exhibition, work, and social space for local and international artists.
Located in the heart of the fastest-changing and coolest Lisbon’s district, Marvila, MAD opened its doors in 2021 in a spectacular building that once was a José Domingos Barreiro wine warehouse.
